Volunteer Opportunities
There are many opportunities for you to become involved.
- Support Group Leader – We are looking for individuals who are interested in establishing a support group in their area. If you have good organizational skills, we can help you find local speakers, promote your event, secure meeting space, and provide materials. It is a very rewarding experience.
- Treasurer/Board member - The organization would benefit greatly from someone with financial experience. The person would become a director and help the organization manage its financial affairs.
- Writer/researchers– Our newsletter is produced bi-annually. Experts, patients, caregivers all contribute interesting articles on a range of topics. Currently, we are seeking a bilingual editor who can “pull it all together” into an exciting publication.
- Attend a Support Group Meeting - If you are one of the lucky ones who is now in remission, we encourage you to attend support group meetings near you to provide moral support and any advice on health management that new patients and caregivers desperately need. Your participation would be greatly appreciated.
